Eye of the Tiger - SG Zoo trip

I know WildLife photography needs lots of patience and knowing the animal's characteristic will surely be a very much needed knowledge to get the best shot. Going to the zoo provided me with this small little opportunity to know more about wildlife photography.

I stood among the crowded in the Albino Tigers encaged area in September and took this shot.

To me, i waited for a couple of mins with my eyes wide open. Waiting for the right time, right moment and the right turning of the head in my direction..... *snap snap snap snap snap*

All these with alot of test shots, settings changes, continouos shooting mode plus many other considerations and there, at that moment and split second, i face "danger". Danger is the tiger and i faced it. Though our distance are many many many metres apart and when it look into my eye thru my camera and lens, i knew i had captured the look. The look i had always imagine in my mind, many times over and over again, visually how it will look as my photo in print.

I would like to share this little moment with you, Looking into the face of danger.

All these taken in a very safe distance outside the tiger's enclosure.

Marina Barrage - November 1st

Marina Barrage - Reservoir in the city

Singapore just opened the latest Reservoir - coined Reservoir in the City (Marina Barrage).
Located at the Marina Bay area, facing the southern most sea facing area of singapore, Marina Barrage was opened to much fanfare on last Friday 30th October. I made a trip there to take some photos and with my beloved to enjoy a nice saturday afternoon on 1st Nov. It's such a nice weather on saturday.

I went there via bus and came back by Boat ride. All of my timing were so lucky that we managed to catch a bus there, seated among the crowd. And we got back to Esplanade via the last boat ride with nice view of the Singapore Flyer upclose and the angle was from the boat. Truly astonishing!

I am still in the mist of running thru and processing my pictures.

Stay tune for my pics.

Regards,
Montague E

29 Sept - A day trip at Singapore Zoological Gardens

A day in the Zoo, does bring back a few memories and a brand new experience as well.

Good time to be still and keep still, feel the surroundings, know that there is a higher meaning than just working day in, day out.

Being an emotional being, memories is what we have in mind. Photos is the essence which we can capture and bring out the feel of the moment that we experience at that second in time.

Amist the busy working life we all salaried workers are having, sometimes its good to keep still and see life passes us by. This will allow us to be abit more acute and observant to our surroundings.

Like the Zebra in the picture, lets take a moment to pause at our footsteps.

In Life, there is always a more important meaning than just work.....

To Be Continued

* If you find my pictures are pleasing to your eyes, do feel free to let me know so that i may email you the full size pictures, absolutely free.

Dear alll,

Allow me to have the honour of linking my site to a renowned Singapore-based Nature Photographer.

He is a photographer who strive to capture perfect moments.

As per the introduction on his website, personally i like how he easily describe his objective.

"Julian strives to capture liquid interpretations of our fleeting world. He writes with light eloquently, weaving images that offer a fleeting glance into a world that often escapes us as we go about our daily routine."

Baby onboard! My Weekend Trip, En-route to Malacca

En-route to Malacca, my friends and i had a ball of fun when we pounced on the chance to "play" with a baby onboard. He is a 5 month old baby whose name we didn't manage to grasp.

This baby is extremely cute and never in the 6 hour bus journey throughout did he cry nor whimper.

Such an adorable little package.... no wonder people say surprises come in all sizes, be it big or small.... hehhee

There is always little surprises like this that make anybody's day.. (^o^)
